The Bhoomithra Sena Club (BMC) is a dynamic platform where students come together to learn about and actively participate in environmental conservation activities.
About Bhoomithra Sena Club
The Bhoomithra Sena Club is an initiative by the Government of Kerala to engage students in eco-friendly practices and enhance their knowledge about environmental issues. Our club at GPTC Nedumkandam is dedicated to promoting sustainable living, preserving natural resources, and protecting our environment through various activities and campaigns.
Objectives
- Environmental Awareness: Educating students and the local community about the importance of environmental conservation.
- Sustainable Practices: Encouraging the adoption of sustainable practices in daily life to reduce the ecological footprint.
- Community Engagement: Involving students and staff in environmental initiatives that benefit the local community.

Activities and Initiatives
The Bhoomithra Sena Club actively organizes and participates in a range of activities aimed at fostering a culture of sustainability and environmental responsibility:
- Tree Plantation Drives: Regular tree planting events to enhance the green cover of our campus and nearby areas.
- Campus Clean-Up Campaigns: Monthly clean-up drives to maintain a clean and healthy campus environment.
- Workshops and Seminars: Educational workshops and seminars on topics like waste management, water conservation, and renewable energy.
- Awareness Campaigns: Campaigns and rallies to spread awareness about critical environmental issues such as pollution, climate change, and deforestation.
- Recycling Initiatives: Setting up recycling bins around the campus and promoting the recycling of paper, plastic, and electronic waste.
- Biodiversity Projects: Projects focused on preserving local biodiversity, including maintaining herbal and butterfly gardens.
